Break Dancing (296/365)

At the Beat Awards Night, there were 3 break dancers performing.  I didn't get many photos (mainly video), but this one shows some of the insane stuff they were doing - he was pretty much standing on that arm and bouncing up and down with his feet not touching the floor for a good number of seconds in between!

As I'm posting this, Beat have just released a promotional video (my son and daughter are both in it :) ) - if you're interested, you can see it here:

Fossil Hunting (288/365)

It was my birthday recently, and one thing I wanted to do was to get down to Kimmeridge with the family for a bit of a muck about and to photograph the sunset.

It was brilliant - it felt like being on holiday!  We trundled down there, arriving about 45 minutes before sunset.  The tide was coming in but still showed some rocks, but the beach absolutely stank of sulphur - not quite sure why, but there seemed to be some very black sand so I wonder if it was something to do with the oil site on Kimmeridge.

Anyway, with a mix of 5Dmk2 + 17-40L with grads/tripod/remote release etc, and my trusty NEX5 I managed to get a set of shots.

A thoroughly enjoyable evening, made even better with a sausage bap on top of the hill (while shooting long exposures) and the kids playing around.

I put in an order to Dartmoor Chilli Farm for some fresh chilli's and what a fantastic thing to do!

If you like chilli's then get a bag from them.  It's probably too late now, but keep an eye out for dried ones at least.

I like a decent, hot chilli and there were plenty in here - all sorts of varieties I'd never tried before.

Dorset Naga packs quite a punch :)
